This food-and-wine tour in Chianti from Florence is available Monday to Saturday at 8:45 a.m. and is led by Alberto, our private driver (Bred’s father!), who will accompany you in his unmistakable blue car. A true enthusiast of wine and cheese—and a lover of ’60s and ’70s music—he will make the journey both enjoyable and fun, turning it into a genuine wine tourism experience in Tuscany.

First stop: the Castello di Verrazzano, a historic 12th-century residence and the birthplace of explorer Giovanni da Verrazzano. Here you will tour the ancient medieval wine cellars, discover the secrets of Chianti Classico DOCG winemaking, and enjoy a selection of fine Tuscan wines paired with artisan balsamic vinegar, while admiring the breathtaking views over the Chianti hills.

The tour continues to the village of Greve in Chianti, the vibrant heart of the region, where you will visit the Antica Macelleria Falorni, open for more than two centuries and renowned worldwide for its typical Tuscan cured meats and extraordinary artisanal cheese cellar. Here, a platter of local specialties and a final glass of Chianti Classico await you.

The total duration is approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. Price: €75 per person, including private transportation from Florence, a guided visit through the Chianti hills, and wine and food tastings of local specialties.
